It's a Sunday early afternoon. The parking lot was packed. We found a spot to park. We didn't have to wait after we arrived inside! Our host asked if we preferred a booth or a table. Nice! We were seated promptly. Our server was very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered their bacon cheeseburger with fries. I asked if the Gyros meat was shaved from the skewer. She said it was not. She said that almost all of their food is prepared inhouse but the Gyros meat was not. I decided to try it anyway. They serve Pepsi products! Our meals came out after a short wait. My wife's meal included a side of lemon rice soup that she didn't want. Our server gave me my wife's lemon rice soup in addition to the one I received in a bowl! Fantastic! The food was good. My Gyros sandwich was good. My wife loved her bacon cheeseburger and fries. Our server even said their burgers are good but they are not "gourmet" burgers and that their Gyros are good but not "King Gyros" good. Such honesty! My wife and I will be coming back! We will try their breakfast menu! This might well be our go-to spot! Oh, their huge food portions to the price point is fantastic. Probably the best in the Valparaiso area.

Every time we visit this place is packed! However, we've never waited longer than about 5 minutes for a table and the food, service and staff are so sweet and awesome. If you love the home cooked vibe, this is the place to visit.
